Personal trainer — SilverGym, Montana. May 2010 to present. The paying job, and the one I have held longest.
Software — independent, evenings. Published as icyhoty2k. Never done professionally, never to a deadline set by anyone else. QuickImageViewer for Windows and qIV Remote for Android are the current work; more Android apps and eventually games are next.
Education
ПМГ Монтана — the mathematics and science high school in Montana, informatics stream. This is where the programming started properly.
Второ Основно Училище, Montana.
No university degree. Everything since school has been self-directed.
Qualifications
- Certified fitness trainer. The professional qualification behind the day job.
- Electrician — post-secondary qualification. Competent to work with electrical installations.
- Computer hardware — building, assembling and repairing machines, since childhood rather than since a course.
Languages
- Bulgarian — native.
- English — fluent. Studied from year 2 through year 12, and used daily ever since.
Driving licences
Categories A, B, C and C+E — motorcycle, car, lorry, and lorry with trailer.
Technical
- C++ — Win32 and Direct2D, written directly against the API with no UI framework. QuickImageViewer is roughly sixty thousand lines of it.
- Java — Android, XML views rather than Compose.
- Web — plain HTML and CSS, no framework. This site.
- Networking — a hand-written TCP protocol with TLS and certificate pinning, spanning the desktop and Android sides of qIV.
- Databases and point-of-sale systems.
